Mission

At The Reclaim Project, we believe every child deserves the chance to grow up well — curious, connected, and in control of their own attention. We work with parents, teachers, and students to understand not just the risks of screens, but the research behind them and the real human needs that sit underneath them. Our goal isn't to frighten families or add to the noise. It's to give families the knowledge and tools to make a genuine difference.

Our Philosophy

Safety isn't a setting. It's a skill.

The digital landscape moves faster than any filter can keep up with. Restrictions and parental controls have their place — but they are temporary, and never the whole answer. Eventually, every child walks out the door and into the world. What they carry with them matters far more than what we've blocked on their device.

But here's what most digital literacy programmes won't tell you: you cannot teach a child to use social media and smartphones safely. Only maturity can do that.

That is the honest starting point of The Reclaim Project.

We don't offer a cyber-safety checklist. We don't pretend that the right app settings will protect your child. Instead, we go deeper — into the research, into the design of these platforms, and into the very real human needs that screens can quietly displace. We work with parents, teachers, and students in ways that are tailored to where they are, and what they actually need to hear.

Because the strongest protective factor for any young person isn't a piece of software. It's a warm, trusting relationship with the adults in their life — and the knowledge to back it up.
