Mission

Our mission is to safeguard developing minds and wellbeing so children thrive in a connected world. We focus on the research and the underlying drivers of screen harms, not just cyber-safety tips, providing the starting point for lasting behaviour change delivered through three flagship talks that bring together parents, students, and teachers.

Our Philosophy

Safety isn't a setting. It's a skill.

The digital landscape changes too fast for parents and teachers to police every click. While filters and restrictions have a place, they are temporary and never 100% effective. Eventually, every child walks out the door and into the world.

That is why The Reclaim Project takes a different approach. We move beyond the standard "Cyber Safety" checklist to focus on human capability.

We build internal filters, not external ones. We don't just tell students what not to do; we teach them how the technology is designed to manipulate their biology. When a young person understands the mechanism of the trap, not only how algorithms target their dopamine and attention but why companies want to hold their attention, they are empowered to step around it.

We address the root cause, not the symptom. Excessive screen use is rarely just about the screen; it is often a substitute for unmet needs in the real world. We focus on restoring the "displacement", including helping families and schools put back what the screens have taken away: sleep, play, focus, face-to-face connection, and (perhaps most importantly) the opportunity to experience true fun.

Connection is the antidote. The strongest protective factor for young people is not a piece of software, but a strong, supportive, and open relationship with the adults in their lives. Our work removes the fear and conflict from the conversation, allowing parents and teachers to reclaim their role as guides rather than guards.
